I want to welcome you to my site. For a brief introduction, please click on the audio player below or click on the Welcome tab above. I hope this site is useful to you in acquainting yourself to who I am, as you seek God’s lead in the staffing of your church.
Jesus’ command found in Matthew 28:19-20, calling the Church to go and make disciples of all nations is one that I take very seriously.
Foreign Missions
I have led 10 teams into Mexico to serve and share with the wonderful people of that country.
Local Missions
Believing that missions is more than crossing oceans and borders, I have also led localized mission trips to help students realize and meet the needs right in their own communities.
I have been partnered with World Vision and their 30 Hour Famine ministry for many years. To see students gain a heart for the things that break the heart of God is a wonderful thing.
Ephesians 4:11-12 sums up one of the most important components of my ministry, that being investing in leaders.
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
Here is a teaching video I put together for Tim Schmoyer’s site Life in Student Ministry on the importance of investing in leaders.
Hear more of my thoughts on investing in leaders on Tim Schmoyer’s LIVE YM Talk. On this particular episode I had the privilege of leading a discussion with youth workers from around the country on the importance of building a youth ministry team.
On the program we covered topics like:
Why building a team is so important
Ideas for promoting unity, training, and working with their schedules
I have a great love for sharing the truths of Scripture, and take great joy in witnessing people come to realize the power of God’s Word, and allowing it to invade every area of their life.
I have a number of recorded messages that can be heard either here or via my podcast.
From Ordinary To Extraordinary is a messaged I preached in June of 2008. It was part of a series of messages entitled, “Surprised by God.” In this message we discover that God chooses to use ordinary people like you and I, for extraordinary purposes.
